After the Management Level survey is complete and its’ asbestos register has been issued, if asbestos issues have been identified, the report may well make recommendations for remedial treatments.
Once these treatments (sealing / encapsulating or removing), have been done, then the asbestos register is out of date ~ because it no longer represents the new asbestos profile of the building.
Also, as time goes by, the asbestos that is there, may be further damaged. For either of these events, the building needs to be re-inspected and a new current (valid), asbestos register issued.
In any event, the HSE guidelines are that non-domestic buildings with asbestos issues, should be re-inspected annually.
